Testimonials

“Sega and the Boombox brought our new Guildhall graduates all of the tunes necessary to take them back to childhood just before they went off into the real world to be adults! Just when you think you've heard all of the bangers, they'll give you another one... Top quality band!”Rachel - Graduation Ball, London

We just wanted to email to extend our gratitude Sega and the Boombox for their contribution to Air Charter Service’s summer party on Saturday. It was a lovely day, and that was a result of the great activities and entertainment that was provided by all the suppliers who attended. The weather was glorious, but we know these high temperatures make work more tiring, and as a result everybody’s effort and help was greatly appreciated. The music provided by Sega and the Boombox was perfect for the mood of the day, with many people commenting on how great their sets were. Air Charter Service - Summer Party, Ham Polo Club, Surrey

Oh my goodness we CANNOT say enough good words about Sega and the Boombox! All of our guests are still raving about how fantastic they were! Calling Sega the greatest wedding band of all time would be doing them a disservice. They're not a wedding band - they're not a Bruno-Mars-crooning, smooth-singing bunch of cheese merchants. These guys bring the party like nobody else. We had them at our wedding a few weeks ago and there is not one person I have hung out with since then that hasn't told me how awesome the band were. Obviously, that you grew up with the soundtrack of the 90s is kind of a prerequisite for Sega but if you did, then they are simply mind-blowingly brilliant. The quality of the musicians, the stunning vocals, the pleasingly 90s clothing references, and the raw, unadulterated energy of them all make Sega one of the best live acts I have ever seen. We were worried about them being a bit niche (i.e. our parents' generation wouldn't dance) but we were wrong. Firstly, the parents did get involved (Nana Joan smashing it up to 50 Cent, In da Club) but they also enjoyed standing back and watching a group of 30-year-old teenagers have an awesome time. If you're on the fence about them - go see them play live (they play a lot) and they will remove any doubts. We went to see them when I was ill - I was up and dancing within 2 songs and didn't stop. Crowdsurfing to Rage's 'Killing in the Name of' will be a memory I treasure for ever... Thank you guys for making our wedding day just THE BEST. xxClaire Hance - Wedding, Furnace Pond Cottage, West Sussex

They were amazing, everyone loved them! Great interaction with the crowd. I can’t say enough good things about them!Wedding - Kachette, Nicola Martin

Sega & the boombox were fantastic!!!! Thank you and the others at tailored entertainment for coordinating and liaising with the band. They were one of the highlights of the day and we will not hesitate to recommend them to others!Adam & Lee - Wedding, St Stephens Rosslyn Hill, London

The band were great. The music was really good and they created a great atmosphere. We had so many compliments about them and their music and I would definitely recommend them. Jackson was really friendly and again created a great atmosphere. Tailored Entertainment also were very easy to deal with. Very responsive and helpful. Really excellent experience.Nicola - Wedding, Kachette, London

Except for 'You May Now Kiss The Bride' Sega & The Boombox were the most well received part of the whole wedding day! I've never seen our friends and family dance, scream and shout as relentlessly as they did. A particular highlight for my wife and I was crowdsurfing to the Macarena. Stef & Viki - Wedding, Battersea Arts Centre

Sega and the Boombox MADE THE PARTY. We loved them so much, but even more importantly, our guests were completely blown away. We honestly cannot speak more highly of them. The trumpet, the drums, the dancing, the crowd interaction, the amazing Tamagotchi necklaces...it was all incredible. THANKYOU THANKYOU from the bottom of our hearts. Jaime and Max xMax Rushden & Jaime Bruce - Wedding, London Fields Brewery, London

Sega and the Boombox are the talk of our wedding ! They created an outstanding set list that got everyone up and dancing - going from Britney and Robbie Williams to Rage Against the Machine was a personal highlight. At one point I thought the floor might give way as the whole crowd was jumping around and having the best night. The team were professional and friendly and we couldn't have asked for more from our wedding band. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to book them for other events!Abbie Godward - Wedding, Houchins, Colchester

The band absolutely made our wedding! We have so many friends who had said they are best wedding band they have ever heard. All we wanted was everyone to get up and dance with us and the band made this happen all night. The mix of music was amazing and the band are all so talented. I am SO glad we went over our budget to book this band as they were worth every single penny! We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding evening so memorable! If you want a fun band who are different from the standard wedding bands who will get your party dancing then look no further. Thanks also to tailored entertainment who have been amazing to deal with. From Mr and Mrs TaylorZoe - Wedding, Haughley Park Barn, Stowmarket

The band were absolutely incredible - they worked as quickly as they could to get set up despite having a big delay from us with getting the space ready for them. They adjusted their sets and took less of a break in order to get as much live music as possible in for us which we really appreciated. The skill and energy level from all the band members was unreal, and they kept the dance floor full from beginning to end. You could tell how much they were loving being back on stage and we really felt that from their performance. It was truly amazing and completely exceeded expectation. Big, big thank you to the whole crew, from The McAlisters xEmily & James - Dorney Court, Windsor

Sega And The Boombox were absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. All our wedding guests kept saying how fun, energetic and awesome they were and loved their song selections. I don't think the dance floor was empty for a moment during their performance. They were also super-friendly when they arrived when talking to them before their sets. I'm so glad I took their card when we saw them at Cartel in London however many years ago. Thank you also for our in-joke song request of A Whole New World, amazing! A massive thanks from my Wife and I to each member of the band, you really rocked the wedding. Well done all, and thanks again!Edward - Wedding, Great Ote Hall, West Sussex

Wow wow wow! Sega And The Boombox are the most amazing band we have ever heard! The dance floor was full throughout the entire evening and all of our guests were commenting on how amazing and different they were! Not only did the band sing amazingly well, they danced, they rapped, they played the trumpet, they put on accents, they got down on the dance floor themselves, they literally did it all! It was easily the best money we have ever spent! We are so pleased we found them! Thank you thank you thank you, you are incredible xxGemma - Wedding, Kelmarsh Hall, Northampton

Whole band were just so good. They had everyone up and dancing non stop from first to last song. Playlist was epic, couldn’t keep us off the dance floor for a full two hours. We are so grateful to them for giving us such an epic party.Hannah & Matt - Wedding, Clapton Country Club, London

The band gave an amazing performance and kept the dance floor full all night. They were also really adaptable to the last minute change in schedule as we were running late - thank you for this!Charlotte - Wedding, Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire
