Pop / Rock Cover Wedding Band Hire London - A Whole Lotta Soul

A Whole Lotta Soul are one of the UK’s most popular bands, compelling people to dance with their unrivalled quality, endless energy and an abundance of soul.

A Whole Lotta Soul are made up from some of the most experienced and talented musicians in the business. Their musicianship shines through in every ounce of their performance and they have worked with other artists such as: Mumford & Sons, Adele, Michael Kiwanuka, The Maccabees, The Drifters, Melody Gardot, and have played in venues, sessions and TV shows including: The O2 Arena, Glastonbury Festival, Later With Jools Holland, The Andrew Marr Show, BBC Radio 1 (for Fearne Cotton, Giles Peterson and Zane Lowe), BBC Radio 2, to name but a few!
Even their stand-in singers are of the highest calibre, having sung with Adele, Professor Green, Leona Lewis, Rita Ora, Clean Bandit & on Strictly Come Dancing & X-Factor!

Their wide range of repertoire is sure to suit everyones taste, but if that isn't enough, they will tailor their set lists to your liking and you can be sure to have direct contact with them regarding this. On top of that, if you are getting married, as a wedding present from the band, they will learn your first dance song and play it live for you if you wish!

This band is cool! They are always smartly dressed, but not in badly fitting musicians black! They have that 'Mark Ronson' look going on with skinny ties, maybe the odd waistcoat, and trendy trousers.

If you're looking for a night to remember, A Whole Lotta Soul are equipped to blow your minds! With this band, anything could happen - keep your eyes open for saxophone players serenading guests on the dance floor, singers duet-ing with your friends (or you!) or even band members bursting spontaneously into freestyle rap!

Having played extensively at weddings, corporate events, Christmas parties, private parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, A Whole Lotta Soul will help you celebrate in style and give all your guests a night to remember!

Absolutely incredible…you really got everyone going!Colin – Wedding Client

Many thanks for helping make our wedding celebrations so fantastic. Thanks to your band's talent and energy everyone was up and dancing from the first song! We really appreciated you learning our first dance song especially for us - we loved every second of it. We'd thoroughly recommend you to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and funky band that appeals to many ages and tastes and we hope to hear you again at some point in the near future.Rachel and Jonathan Dickson - Wedding Client

How much do you charge?
It is difficult to give an indication of how much we charge without knowing a bit more about your event. There are many different things that affect the cost of hiring us, including size and location of the venue, the length of time you would like us to play etc. The best thing to do is to enquire about us now to talk through a few details of your event and we will give you a no obligation quotation and probably some helpful information!

What areas do you cover?
We are happy to play almost any where in the world!  We are based in London and the South East, but can travel with no problem.  Get in touch to discuss your event and the logistics.

Do you offer a smaller band?
Yes! Although the full experience is the 8-piece band with full rhythm section, 2 horns and 2 singers, we do offer a variety of different ensembles to suit your event. Our smallest line-up is the 5-piece band which is perfect if you are tight on budget or space!

Will the band need PA or special lighting?
We are completely self sufficient and bring our own dedicated sound engineer to every gig.  This ensures that the sound is always top quality.  We also bring our own lighting for the band and dance floor.

Do you take song requests?
Yes! For weddings we will learn one song for the first dance free of charge. We will also happily try to accommodate any other requests from our extensive repertoire list. If you would like us to learn more than one song, then there may be some extra charges.

How long do you need to set up?
It takes about 2 hours to set up and sound check the PA. This can be shorter if it is a smaller venue.  It is preferable to set up as close to the performance time as possible. However, if you require an earlier set up then let us know and we’ll discuss how to accommodate it.

How long do you normally play for?
Usually we play 2 x 1 hour sets. However, if you prefer, we can split that into 3 x 40 minute sets. These are just the common set times we do. If you require alternative set times, or more than 2 hours live music we can do that too!

Will we need to hire a DJ?
We are happy to play either our own selection of music or your own selection before and in between our sets. Most people find that they don’t need a separate DJ as well as the band.

How loud do you play?
As loud/quiet as you want! We will adjust the volume of the performance to your requirements.

What do you wear?
Our musicians usually perform in white shirts, dark trousers and cool, skinny ties with waistcoats and other accessories! However we can wear suits or even black tie if required. We will always be smart in appearance on and off stage.
