I booked The Hippy Hippy Shakes for my wedding. They were super nice guys, really professional to deal with. They appealed to ALL generations of our wedding guests, and really looked the part. They also put on an exciting live show – I particularly enjoyed the guitarist playing the guitar behind his head! My friend’s little boy went home wanting to be a rock star. Can’t recommend enough!Rachel (Bride)

Thank you for playing an amazing set all evening. We loved having the live music and the dance floor was the place to be. We loved rock around the clock as our first dance and it gave Olly an excellent chance to show off his moves. So many people have commented about how excellent The Hippy Hippy Shakes were!!Jen & Olly (Bride and Groom)

We have booked The Hippy Hippy Shakes for many dates throughout this year and have booked for all of next year also, as these guys go down extremely well in our venue. The band are extremely reliable, well presented and always professional and to date they have never let us down not just in honouring their bookings but also in providing a great performance.. Their performances provide something genuinely different from many other bands out there. I would definitely recommend them.Crown Hotel Chertsey (Youngs)

What is your line up?
The Hippy Hippy Shakes are a three piece rock and roll band who play completely live. The line up consists of drums, bass, guitar, lead vocals and backing vocals. A high quality PA system is used along with a lighting set up.

What do you sound like live?
Of course this is one of the key questions when looking to book a band for your wedding or event. You can view the videos and listen to the audio on the bands profile to hear how the band sounds live. All songs were recorded as live takes at a recording studio in London using analogue equipment and mics. This gives a true representation of how the band will sound on the night.

What happens when you are not playing?
Once the band has arrived and set up, the band can play music through their PA system (which can also be used for speeches if required) They can play modern or vintage style of music, whichever you would like. Music can be played before the set, during the break, and also after the set depending on what is agreed… the band are happy to fit with whatever you wish!

How long do you play for?
The set timings can be tailored to your requirements of course, but the “normal” timing is 2 x 1hr sets, with a 15 minute break in the middle. Shorter sets are also possible, and it can be discussed as to what point in the evening you want the band to play (i.e for a wedding it can be immediately after first dance, or with a gap)

How much do you charge?
Enquire for prices.

What does your standard package include?
The standard package includes: 2 x 60mins of live music which can be completely tailored around your evening of entertainment. PA system to play music before, in between, and after live shows. Provision of music playlist in between live sets, modern or vintage. Full stage lighting Relevant Public Liability and PAT Testing certificates

What about insurance?
Not a problem! The band have full public liability insurance, and all equipment is PAT tested and certified. Certificates can be provided for any venues that require them.

What do you look like when playing?
The band pride themselves on not only sounding great, but looking the part as well. The band wear suit jackets and ties to fit with the vintage, retro look. The mics are 1950s style, and the mic stands and amps are styled with fairy lights to add to the vintage look. You can check the various photos and videos on the band profile to see how the band looks when playing.
