About

Pop / Rock Cover Wedding Band Hire London - Landscapes

Landscapes is a group of extremely talented musicians bringing the best pop, funk and soul party music to stages and dance floors globally. The band is fronted by two fantastic vocalists, who have experience running through their dancing tippy toes to the top of their gorgeous and handsome heads. Our leading lady has worked in performance production for many years has vocal tones are reminiscent of pop soul icons like Whitney Houston, while our male vocalist who has reached final stages of both The Voice and The X Factor has a distinctively smooth tone and beautiful falsetto allowing to hit the highs of The Jackson 5, Prince, and execute the soul pop tones of all the great classics. These vocalists with their expertise and incredibly professional and friendly personalities will win you and all of your guests round from the first song. Landscapes come as a 5-piece band, their line up is one male and one female lead vocals, guitar, bass, and drums.

Our leading lady, who studied Music and Dance at Northampton Institute, has toured the Mediterranean on cruise liners and been an integral part of show teams across the UK and abroad working with Frankie Goes To Hollywood and dance group Uniting Nations, and her counterpart has over 5 million views on YouTube and has been mentored by Celine Dion. Collectively the band has studied at some of the most prestigious musical educational facilities in the UK and around the world, including the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, The Academy of Contemporary Music, University of Northampton and The Players School of Music in Florida; have supported the likes of Lemar, Blazin Squad, Diversity and Shane Ward; have performed at Wembley Arena, O2; toured the UK and the Mediterranean; and have played at the renowned 100 Club and Ronnie Scott’s; and played on BBC radio and Resonance FM radio station. I think you’ll agree that they've more than earned their stripes.

Landscapes belt out the band's pop, funk, rock and soul repertoire, from artists such as Clean Bandit, Rose Royce, and Prince. The band has a repertoire of over 250 songs covering the 1950s to the current top 40, and specializes in pop, funk, disco and soul, though their repertoire also covers Motown, jazz, rock, and swing.

Testimonials

We had Landscapes play at our wedding in June and they were simply fantastic. We really can't say nice enough things about them. The booking process ahead of time was very smooth and they delivered in huge style on the day. We had a two piece during the pre-lunch drinks and then a six piece band in the evening which created an incredible atmosphere...that our guests wouldn't stop talking about.Frankie, Essex, Wedding, June 2016

Please thank the band so much, we truly think they made the occasion all the more special. They definitely added a WOW factor. Our guests have all commented on how great they were. They allowed and actively encouraged audience participation which delighted many of our guests (especially the ones who could actually sing!). They arrived early and were very accommodating to our schedule as we did run slightly behind. The vocalist was absolutely brilliant, she worked the crowd and looked amazing. Having the band join in our first dance song saw the dance floor filled from beginning to end. Hopefully they enjoyed the night, the brides certainly woke up having thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Ewan dropped off and picked up everything exactly when he said he would and always communicated updates with us. The process of booking, setting up and the actual event was all too easy. Thank you for your help in arranging all of our particular requests and getting us started with the spotify list, it made our job of organising this wedding that much easier. Nicky & Leah, London, Wedding, March 2016

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to yourself and the band for Saturday. The band were excellent, got all the guests involved with the music and made the night really special. They were also very friendly and happy to be flexible with the time delays. Thanks again, it was a pleasure working with you throughout and we will be sure to recommend Landscapes to anyone who needs a good bandMark & Mel, London, Wedding, January 2016

We booked Landscapes because I really liked their voices on the demo youtube videos, and as a lot of our friends are professional musicians, wanted to have a band with powerful voices. We were so happy with our choice! The band sounded brilliant, and really got people on the dance floor. The songs in their repertoire were really appropriate, and, most importantly, they sounded and looked great. The other good thing about the band was how easy they were to communicate with and how responsive they were. Our every interaction with them was super professional. We were so happy with our choice. The Horizons really are an awesome wedding band! Natasha & Coryn, London, Wedding, December 2015

What a night! We were playing guess the song. Ewan your musical director was lovely and they all seemed to enjoy the evening. I would hire them again in a flash! The entire process was hassle free. The guests were impressed by the duet. Lee-Ann Diaz, London, Birthday Party, January 2016

They were really good, lots of compliments all round, and very accommodating when a few intoxicated guests grabbed the mike, or wanted to play the drums...please pass on my thanks to all, and I will definitely recommend to others, and consider for future use. Amy Boden, London, Corporate NYE Party, December 2015

We absolutely LOVED the band! They made the night and our guests thought they were awesome too! We were hoping they would be great, and I was sure they would be, but on the night they were even better than we had hoped for, they did a really great job! Natasha Porter, London, Wedding, December 2015

Paul and I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the fantastic job Landscapes did on our wedding day. We had an amazing time and I’m pretty sure I danced to every single song! We had loads of comments saying how good the band was and I would thoroughly recommend you to my friends. Many many thanks for a fantastic job! - Rebecca & Paul, Surrey, Wedding, October 2015

The day was brilliant and so were the band. So glad we booked you. There were many comments on how good the band were. We enjoyed every minute and seemed to get a great reaction from the crowd! Laura & Tim, Essex, Wedding, October 2015

Thank you so much for Thursday evening, you guys went down really well. We would 100% use you again. Julie Leggatt, Croydon Corporate Awards Ceremony, October 2015

The singer that came was absolutely fantastic and knew how to work the crowd, so much so that everyone was aching the next day due to the fact that they didn’t want to leave the dance floor with the great songs that she kept singing!!- Gina Grasso, Hertfordshire, Wedding, May 2015

Everything from the acoustics to the choice of music was perfect. Everybody thought they were fabulous and they managed to get everyone dancing! Massi & Renata, London, Wedding, August 2015

Please thank the band for making the evening amazing, being professional and well organized. The full band including the brass created a full complete sound which many of my guests commented on. The dance floor was filled! I have spent the last week receiving compliments saying how good the band was and how did I find you! In particular the Florence songs were fantastic.Adrian Coe, Kent, Birthday Party, August 2015

Thank you for sending first class entertainment to our wedding. The set for the chuppa was perfect and the evening entertainment, especially the hora, was so much fun! Sharon Levy, Surrey, Jewish Wedding, November 2015

Amazing party band! Lex, London, Christmas Staff Party, December 2016

This is our second time booking Landscapes for an event, and once again they impressed! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone! Nastasha, London, Corporate Awards Party, October 2016

FAQ

How long do you take to set-up?
The minimum set up time required is 60 minutes. However it's best to schedule in 90 minutes to mitigate any unforeseen issues that might arise. The band will work quickly to set up and sound check as soon as possible. Sound checking is very important for us as it means we'll be able to avoid poor sound quality, feedback, and other technical sound issues which could arise throughout the performance. A good sound check means you'll get a great performance.

What time do you play?
Any time to suit you, standard prices are for 2 hours of live music, anytime between 6pm and 1am inside Greater London, or between 6pm and midnight outside Greater London

How long do you play for?
We’re flexible! Usually we do 2 x 60 or 3 x 40 minute live sets in the evening and can provide either a pre-mixed disco (tailored to your tastes) or a crossfading bespoke playlist designed by you before, in-between and after live sets, so your whole night of entertainment is covered in one booking. We can also perform up to 2 hours’ worth of an acoustic set as an add-on, which is perfect for during drinks or dinner.

Do you have your own PA and lighting?
Yes – all included in the price.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?
Yes.

Will you perform our first dance?
Yes, as long as we have two weeks’ notice we will learn the first dance of your choice.

How much space do you require?
6 piece – 2.5 x 3.5m please!

How much power do you require?
2 x 13 amp sockets is fine for our system.

Do I need to provide food/drinks?
All the hard work the band puts in from traveling to your venue, setting up, and working well into the night makes the band quite hungry and thirsty! So they would very much appreciate being fed and watered either before their performance or during a break. They don't expect a 3 course meal, and they won't drink on the job if you don’t want them to, but it's true that a happy band always results in a happy performance.

Can we add a musician or have a smaller band?
Of course! We flex our line up to suit stage sizes and budgets whether that means adding or subtracting band members to get you the perfect fit. Our normal line up is a 6 piece band - 2 vocals, guitar, bass, keys, drums.

Travel
We are based in London, and are happy to travel to any gig within Greater London for free. We are always happy to travel further afield for a performance, and we do frequently travel outside of London for shows. We have set fees to cover our travel expenses and overnight accommodation if required.

Choosing Songs
One of the things we pride ourselves on is our repertoire which has over 600 songs in it spanning multiple genres. And what’s more is you get to pick exactly what you want to here. In a standard 2 hour set we cover 32 songs. Once you book the band we encourage you to pick your favourites from the repertoire and leave the ordering up to our musical director to create medleys and flow within the set. We’ve been doing this for a few years now and know what works well on the dancefloor. If you’d rather hand the reins over to us that’s more than fine, or if you’d like you can use the traffic light system where you highlight which songs into green, amber and red categories and leave the design up to our musical director.

Band Members Falling Sick
As a working band, we work with a roster of official 'deps' or understudies ready to step in at a moment’s notice should an unforeseen circumstance occur. They are professional well-rehearsed musicians representing the best talent out there, and for this reason we can guarantee the quality of our performance will not falter. Therefore you can be safe in the knowledge that if a band member falls ill we will be able to have another member of our collective step in seamlessly.

Sound Limiters

We can work with sound limiters! We have a few tricks up our sleeves for making sure you and your guests still get a slamming performance without cutting the power via the sound limiter. We can go acoustic, meaning we can have drums replaced by cajon or the drummer can use a smaller kit and even use feathered drumsticks or hot rods to reduce the decibel level. We can also have guitar and bass use less wattage for their amps and go acoustic if needed. We’ve dealt with sound limiters up and down the country and can confidently say a sound limiter won’t be a problem.
